Hello!
I am an R&D chef and culinary innovator with experience bridging professional kitchens, food design, and digital food experiences.
A native of Denver, Colorado, I attended Johnson & Wales University and graduated with dual degrees in Culinary Arts and Nutrition. I have extensive experience working for high-end restaurants, bakeries, caterers, gourmet markets, and as a cheesemonger before I was recruited as a private chef, specializing in plant-based fine dining. I later operated a successful wellness-focused personal chef and catering business.
I received my Master’s Degree in Food Design Innovation from Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy, focusing on the application of design thinking as it relates to the food industry. As part of the program, I completed an internship with pioneering Dutch food designer, Katja Gruijters, at her studio in the Netherlands.
I landed in San Francisco with a desire to contribute to the growing food tech sector. Here, I joined Wellio (acquired by Kraft-Heinz) to develop Meal Hero, a dynamic recipe discovery and meal planning app. For four years, I was the chief food expert on a team of data and software engineers. We trained food-centric data models to “think” like a chef, building intuitive tools that made meal planning for home cooks easier and more fun.
Following the breadcrumbs of food tech, I directed the culinary team at Season, the first “digital food farmacy.” Season is a food-as-medicine platform that helps fight chronic disease via nutrition prescriptions with the guidance of expert dietitians to provide chef-curated, medically-tailored recipes and prepare meals.
Today, I am honored to consult full-time as an R&D chef and culinary adviser for consumer-facing food and beverage companies — from Fortune500 companies to startups — developing recipes, menus, and products that help shape the future of food.
When I am not geeking out on all things food-related, you can find me exploring the sea cliffs, eucalyptus groves, and hidden staircases of SanFrancisco, or wandering the streets in search of the city’s best croissant.
